Important information for international teaching applicants

Please note that Malaysian authorities impose specific eligibility requirements for the recruitment of foreign teachers and the issuance of a work permit. These requirements are determined by the relevant authorities and are unfortunately beyond the control of Alliance Française de Penang.

Applicants are notably required to hold a Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), or an equivalent qualification, and to have a minimum of three years of professional experience teaching French as a Foreign Language, supported by letters of recommendation or employment references.

If you do not meet these requirements, we will unfortunately be unable to consider your application, as the work permit application process cannot be successfully completed. Please note that, due to the volume of applications received, we will not be able to respond to applications that do not meet the above eligibility requirements.
